Snowman Soup!

This is one of my favorite gifts. I make these every year for the children that are in the kindergarten class where I work. They love it, too!

The poem on the bag topper reads:

Was told you've been good this year.

Always good to hear it

With freezing weather drawing near

You'll need to warm the spirit

So here's a little Snowman Soup

Complete with stirring stick

Just add hot water, sip it slow.

It's sure to do the trick!

With a candy cane, package of hot cocoa mix and a handful of marshmallows you've got a cute and original gift!

Christmas oven mitts

I wish I could remember where I got this idea from! I'd love to give credit to the person who came up with it!

As I mentioned earlier, this Christmas I'm making a lot of my own gifts. Between the economy and personal circumstances, I really need to do this. Thank goodness I also love doing it!

I made 3 of these for my nephew's and their wives. The only difference between mine and the one I came across on the internet is that I put the ingredients in a ziploc bag instead of purchasing the mix. I then made a bag topper where I gave the directions for finishing the cookies. Sort of like the jar ideas but in a baggie instead! I also will make a bunch of cookies to go with the gift.

This cute little bag...

has ribbon handles and is perfect for holding chapsticks, ponytail elastics, candy...anything you can think of!

Christmas is coming...........

so I've been busy making boxes and bags that can be used to hold inexpensive, yet usable, gift items. Now before anyone decides to send me an email telling me they've seen these items on the internet....I know, I know! I love to create and I certainly love playing with my stamps and embellishments but I am not good at making up templates. So, right off the bat I want to thank my friend Kitty Franken from With Love From Holland. Kitty has generously and patiently sent me the directions to the blue box and provided directions for the red bag to a stamping group we both belong to. Thank you, Kitty! You can see Kitty's work here:http://kittyfranken.blogspot.com/Please visit again. I will be posting new creations whenever possible.Happy Stamping!Denise
